Switching to washable sanitary pads is very easy, with little overall change to your routine. Some may just use them at night, or at home or on light days, others will use them full time. Many women report they enjoy using them as they feel more connected with their body and find them soft and comforting, many also feel more comfortable and as they are more aware of their body seem to find peroids less of a strain, some also report they think they suffer less of a loss in cloth.
Washing Lunapads is simple as they are fully machine washable and can be tumble dried too, though some prefer to hand wash or air dry too. As with all blood stains, it's a good idea to soak or rinse Lunapads in cold water before putting them in the laundry. While some of us put our Lunapads in with our regular wash, others put them in with sheets and towels or choose to run a separate load. They will shrink somewhat if they are put in the drier as they are made of cotton
Pads and Pantyliners
The Pads are designed to meet needs ranging from light to very heavy menstrual flow, as well as light or stress incontinence. All Pad styles feature a two layer 100% cotton flannel base topped with a central pad made with one layer of ultra-thin breathable nylon and two layers of 100% cotton fleece, plus ric-rac bands to hold Liners in place.
The Pantyliners are designed to meet needs from daily discharge to very light menstrual flow, and are also popular as backup protection for Sponges or The Mooncup. All pantyliners feature a two layer 100% cotton flannel base topped with a central pad made with two layers of 100% cotton fleece. Note: pantyliners are designed to be used on their own, not with liners.
All the following Lunapads are available in cream non-bleached organic 100% cotton shown above or assorted print designs.
Luna Liners
Liners enhance the absorbency and freshness of Pads and Deluxe Lunapanties. All Liner styles are made with two layers of 100% cotton fleece and sit on top of Lunapads by fitting under thin ric-rac bands. To keep your Pad fresh and dry, just change liners, it's that simple!
Note: Liners are not designed for use without a Lunapad.
